The biodiversity value of Bidoup Nui Ba National Park


It is one of the twenty-eight national parks in the system of special-use forests in Vietnam. Bidoup - Nui Ba national park located in the territory of Lac Duong district - Lam Dong province, contain the whole Langbiang plateau (also known as Lam Vien plateau). It is considered by scientists to be one of 221 endemic bird centers in the world and one of four centers of biodiversity in Vietnam. In the conservation program of the Truong Son mountain range, Bidoup - Nui Ba area is located in the main mountain block in the South of Truong Son and is the priority area for conservation (SA3 area). 91% of 64,800 ha of Bidoup - Nui Ba National Park are forest and forest land, in which primary forest with many different species of plants and animals. There are 1933 species of plants present in Bidoup - Nui Ba National Park, of which 62 rare species are distributed among 29 different plant families, ranked in the rank of rare in the Red Book of Vietnam in 2000. such as Red Pine, Green Leaf, 5 leaflets, 2 flat leaves pine tree. For narrow endemicity, 91 species are restricted in Lam Dong and its vicinity. There are 28 species that are crystallized as standard samples: Dalatensis has 9 species, Langbianensis has 14 species, Bidoupensis has 5 species. There are 56 species recorded in the list of rare animals. There are 47 species listed in the Red Book of Vietnam 2007. There are 30 species listed in the IUCN Red List 2010. The Bidoup-Nui Ba National Park is also considered as the kingdom of Vietnamese forest orchid species with over 250 species.
